Premier Services International (PSI), a pre existing company, approached me with the task of creating a new trading arm which would bring their ability to sell educational products to the UK online. Having worked with this client on a previous and similar project, I jumped at the chance of working with them again. With complete trust from my client, due to my work on their previous project, I was given the full freedom of how to approach the creation of a new trading arm. Due to PSIs presence within their current industry, I identified it as important to ensure that their was a strong brand similarity between PSI and this new company. As such, I named the new trading arm Premier Educational Supplies (PES) and kept the logo as similar as possible. As with most eCommerce websites, the focus of the homepage was to push sales. As well as promoting certain products and categories, it was also important to showcase three of the main competitive advantages that PES has: order process, full quality control and a flexible delivery service. As a new trading arm, the companys primary objective was to lure customers away from a competitor. One way I decided to do this was to include an new customer offer of 10% off the order total for new customers, from there it was down to the companys quality of service to ensure the customer remained loyal. Unlike PSI where companies would usually have a predefined list of products, PES is a company which sets out its products to be attractive to customers in order to perhaps replace the inferior products which they were currently purchasing. In order to make the website as aesthetically pleasing as possible, I made the decision to create the website at full width with the products showcases with large pictures. As with all of my projects, part of the service I offer is the writing of any informative text. A small overview from PES of what they offer was enough for me to list and describe the services that they provide as well as writing their About Us page. Along with the branding and website design, all hosting, emails, SEO and domain name along with all other aspects which go hand in hand with developing a new trading arm were managed by myself too. For a client who had tasked me to create a new trading arm from scratch, within the space of 14 days, had a fully functioning new trading arm.
